BMW Recall 5 Models In US

BMW – American BMW doing repair campaign of mass (recall) of the 5 BMW cars models according to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) America. The number of recallable reach 32,084 units triggered a disturbance in the circuits and components in a machine that could cause a fire.

The models affected are the Series-7 improvements, including the Alpina B7 which uses 8 or 12 cylinder engine equipped with a turbocharger. ThenSeries-5 and Series 5 Gran Turismo, and X6 are all models of the production 2008 to 2011.

“The circuit on the electric water pump to overheat. This condition can cause the pump or engine compartment fire due to heat,” is clear from the NHTSA.

If the water pump fails or the engine temperature decreases, will be informed to the driver via a warning message in the instrument cluster while driving, including when to stop the car.

Despite that there are no reports of accidents or injuries, but BMW says it has received reports of 102 cases worldwide. BMW dealers will replace the electric water pump and the recall begins this November. – BMW
