In Porsche’s press release on Saturday (11/05/2011), New Porsche 911 Carrera will be introduced first in the Americas and the world. 911 Carrera is the car that puts unparalleled performance and dynamic display, so it creates driving pleasure.

New Porsche 911 Carrera was launched in the U.S. market as the generation that has been rebuilt with a wheelbase 100 mm longer. New style of lightweight design, and the body of an innovative aluminum steel makes this new generation into a lighter, more sporty and more comfortable.

Cars with seven-speed transmission was launched as the first standard of the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK), also with seven speeds are available as alternatives. Active control system brings driving dynamics to an even higher level.

In a Porsche note, Porsche 911 Carrera has a fuel consumption of less than ten liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. This means that fuel consumption and lower emissions 16 percent when compared to its predecessor.

The new generation of Porsche 911 Carrera is powered by a 3.4 liter engine and able to catapult power 345 hp, while the S Carrera is equipped with a 3.8-liter engine that produces 394 hp.
